The Israel Golf Federation is the governing body for golf in Israel and is registered as a non- profit organisation.
Golf is still a relatively new sport in Israel and 2 Golf courses are operating and more are planned, both to meet growing demand within the country and in the the attempt to promote the requirements of quality tourism.
Given the sport’s worldwide popularity and continuing growth, there is absolutely no doubt that it will continue to develop to the benefit all golfers especially in the junior ranks. We hope this site will tell you all you need to know about golf in Israel.

The primary objectives of the IGF as written in the constitution are to promote, administer and encourage amateur golf in Israel.
In support of these objectives, IGF responsibilities are to:

• Co-operate with the Royal and Ancient Golf Club of St Andrews, the European Golf Association, and other National Unions and Federations.
• Establish and maintain a uniform system of handicapping.
• Arrange the Israel Open Amateur Golf Championships, international matches and other events.
• Co-ordinate the annual golfing programmes of member clubs.
• Act as the focal point for seeking formal Government and other major sponsorship for golf activities in Israel. • Co-ordinate the promotion and development of golf activities, including education and coaching of junior golfers.
• In collaboration with the Ministry of Industry, Tourism and Commerce, promote Israel as a golf destination.
• Manage the affairs of the IGF to the best advantage of the Federation and its members.
• Provide handicap certificates to members which enables access to to any non-member restricted golf course in the world as well as participation in International golf events.
• Organise Insurance for all members

Registration and membership fees
By virtue of the 2007 General Meeting decision, the Israel Golf Federation members are Caesarea and Gaash Golf Clubs.
All club members thus, Federation Members, are obligated to pay the sum of 170 NIS.
Only paid-up members will benefit from Handicap and Insurance privileges.

Membership is in force for one year from day of registration.

Federation fees can be paid in the proshops and/or offices of the golf clubs.
