Dear Igud members,

As part of the steps the Israel Golf Federation is taking to raise the professional standard of golf in Israel, the Igud management committee has decided to send at least one of the Igud members to a referees school and seminar run by the R&A.

Since the Igud's management committee believes that there is immense importance in widening the circle of golfers who actively participate in the advance and development of the game in Israel, the committee has decided to open the list for registration for the seminar to all members of the Federation (Igud), on condition that anyone who may be interested in attending the seminar meets the conditions as outlined in the R&A's invitation (which is attached) and will be prepared to undertake to take on duties in the future of serving as a rules official in Igud tournament and generally and in sessions with other golfers and administrators to pass on knowhow gained at the referees school and seminar.

Any Igud members who think they are suitable and are interested in going to the seminar should refer in writing to the Igud's secretariat in one of the following ways:

Laetitia Beck hasn’t declared her major at college yet, but she is sure about golf.

 First, she wants to play professionally on the LPGA Tour. Then, she wants to contend for the 2016 Summer Olympics.

Laetitia Beck became the first Israeli golfer ever to make the cut and complete 72 holes in an LPGA event.

Following rounds of 71 and 70 for a total of 141 (-3) which enabled her to make the cut, Laetitia added a 76 (+4) in the third round and 77 (+5) in the fourth round for a total of six over par 294 fir the 72 holes.

The last round was played in the wake of Hurricane Irene and many of the more experienced professional golfers were seen to be struggling to keep their games together.

 Laetitia struggled to 6 over par on the first nine holes and then made a fantastic comeback with two under par 35 on the back nine.

After the tournament the President of the Hillsdale Golf Club held a special cocktail party at which Laetitia and Morgan Pressel were the guests of honour.
